Hi! My name is Dawn Strahan LaFountain. I've done this blogging thing a time or two before. I had a lifestyle blog with my sister, where we posted about throwing parties, recipes, funny childhood tales, our favorite music and TV shows, and stories about our lives. We had fun with it for a while, but I had a hard time keeping it going between the activities of my 4 kids and working full time. More and more, getting up at 5:00 am to write was not sustainable.
I tried it again a few years later, during what was soon to become the demise of my marriage. I wanted to tell stories of real stuff that was happening in my life, and I wanted to be brutally honest and detailed about it. Trouble was, my ex didn't appreciate the exposure to our private life. I can't say I blame him. So, I scrapped that blog.
Fast forward 2 years, and I'm feeling the writing bug again. I am hoping that all of the experiences I've had during this time have seasoned my tales with a bit more wisdom and a lot more compassion.
This is no life coaching, be your best self, or how-to blog. This is just a place to read, relate, and connect. I hope my truths will help you unlock your own.
